The Wolf, the Fox and the Leopard

Directed by David Verbeek | Premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2025

James was the Movement Director on this bold, genre-defying feature, collaborating closely with lead actress Jessica Reynolds to develop a physical arc rooted in primal, animalistic language.

His work involved intensive movement coaching, strength-building, and character embodiment work exploring the full evolution of the character’s journey from wolf to woman. The process included immersive training with a live wolf pack in Germany, where James and Jessica worked alongside handlers both in the den and in the wild.

Movement development continued across rehearsals in London and into the full-scale production in Luxembourg. The result is a visceral, physical performance grounded in instinct, tension, and transformation.

The film premiered in the International Narrative Competition at Tribeca 2025, and explores themes of identity, survival, and the edge between civilisation and wildness.
